Bali is famous for its mesmerizing pink sunsets. Who doesn’t want to be holding a coconut or cocktail in their hand while staring at the colorful skies?

La Plancha – Seminyak

A beach bar that has definitely figured out the most epic way to watch sunsets in Bali. Loads of huge colorful bean bags and umbrellas are placed on the sand along with small tables. Each table has a little button that you can press for service, so you never have to leave your seat. The cocktails are amazing and are served in colorful glasses. Don’t miss out on this spot during your Bali trip.

Jetsetter recommendations: get there by 5 pm (which is when they set the beach bags) to grab a seat on time otherwise the place gets full within 10 minutes. Also, don’t miss out on their delicious french fries!

Uluwatu Temple

Uluwatu temple is famous for its unique location on top of a tall cliff overlooking the sea. It’s also surrounded by hundreds of cheeky monkeys running around. The best time to go is in the afternoon to enjoy the Balinese ceremony time followed by a breathtaking view of the sunset.

Jetsetter recommendation: the monkeys in Uluwatu are very fast (even faster than the ones in the Monkey Forest in Ubud) and have a thing for stealing sunglasses, so hide all your valuable belongings. Even if you’re staying in a private villa in Uluwatu, you might have some close encounters with them.

Bali Sunset

La Laguna – Canggu

This beach bar and restaurant in Canggu is a bohemian wonderland. As you walk in from the entrance, you’ll come across so many beautiful and colorful gypsy carriages. Enjoy a cocktail at the bar and then kick off your shoes and walk down towards the beach to enjoy the sunset.

Jetsetter recommendation: Take a walk around the whole property and hidden corners to enjoy all the details of the decor and grab some amazing photos.

Potato Head Beach Club – Seminyak

Potato Head is a hip and funky beach club with an epic view of the Indian Ocean. The swimming pool is the best spot to have a cocktail and enjoy the sunset.

Jetsetter recommendation: The best seats in the beach club are the large sunbeds which give you an uninterrupted view of the beach with great service. There is a minimum spend of $37 per sunbed, which fits 2 people and it’s totally worth it. Otherwise, you can choose to sit anywhere else with no entrance fees or minimum charge.

Sunday’s Beach Club – Uluwatu

This beach club is my favorite in Bali and is really close to Uluwatu Temple. The fun starts even before getting to the beach. There’s an elevator that takes you from the top floor down to the beach club with spectacular views of the area.

Jetsetter recommendation: Book a sunbed, which has a minimum spend of $27 per person. Also, don’t miss out on their special cocktails (the passion fruit mojito is to die for!).

Tanah Lot Temple – Tabanan

This famous temple is located literally in the middle of the water. During high tide, the water rises and blocks the pathway to enter the temple. The temple looks like it’s floating on a rock formation in the water. It’s also a famous sunset spot in Bali. The sky turns completely pink and reflection on the water looks stunning.

Jetsetter recommendation: Arrive at least 1 hour before sunset, because there’s a wonderful shopping area at the entrance of the temple. There are also great cafes serving delicious coffee.
