Wanderlust Hotel, Singapore – A unique design hotel
I love staying in design hotels and Wanderlust Hotel is definitely at the top of my list!
When I first walked in to the lobby, I didn’t know where to look! The hotel is so funky and there’s something interesting in every corner. You can start by playing foosball while waiting for the check in process or enjoy a refreshing cocktail at the colorful bar & maybe a sweet treat from the bakery. Then, you will take an elevator ride up to your room, while enjoying a view of a koi pond.
I had the pleasure of staying in 2 different types of rooms: The Mono Room & the Loft Room. I can’t decide which one was my favorite. The Mono rooms are decorated by cute 3D pop-up art that light up. The Loft Room was truly a step into the future! Each one has a different theme and I stayed in the typewriter theme. It’s a 2 story loft with a seating area and a bathtub downstairs and a big bed upstairs. My couch was literally a giant typewriter!
All rooms have complimentary non-alcoholic drinks from the mini bar along with Nespresso machines. A very cool thing is that you will receive a free phone that you can use throughout your stay that includes free local calls and international calls to 15 countries, along with a guide to Singapore. There’s also a colorful rooftop pool that you can enjoy on a hot day.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. You can ask them for a lot of pointers on good places to eat and some hip bars to visit.
The location is quite convenient, set at the outskirts of Little India. You can easily find a taxi by asking the reception to call one for you.
The breakfast is amazing! You are given a menu where you can choose your main dish along with your coffee and juice. The eggs benedict are to die for!
I really loved my stay in Wanderlust Hotel and would definitely stay there again the next time I’m in Singapore!
